# HTML Forms and Inputs - User Interaction

HTML forms let users type in information, like their name, email, or password. This information is sent to a server where it can be processed. Forms are very important for making websites interactive. They allow tasks like:

* Signing up for an account.

* Logging into a website.

* Submitting feedback or surveys.

### **Why we need form in HTML**

> 1\. **User Interaction :** Forms let users interact with websites by entering and sending information. For example, they can log in, sign up, take surveys, or search for something.
>
> 2\. **Data Collection :** Forms are a simple way to collect information from users, like names, emails, feedback, or choices.
>
> 3\. **Communication with the Server :** Forms send data from the browser to the server.
>
> * **GET** adds the data to the URL (good for simple searches).
>
> * **POST** sends the data securely in the background (better for sensitive or large data)
>
>
> 4\. **Validation : HTML5** checks to make sure the information entered is correct such as it can check if a field is required, if the email is in the right format.
>
> 5\. **Customization and Styling :**Forms can be easily customized, so developers can make them look good and easy for users to use.
>
> 6\. **Integration with APIs :** Forms can work with APIs to send and receive data without reloading the page.

### 1\. Basic Form Structure

`<form>` tag create the form.

```xml
<form action="/submit-form" method="post">
    <!-- Form fields go here -->
  </form>
```

* `action`: Specifies where the form data will be sent (e.g., a server URL).

* `method`: Defines how the data will be sent (`GET` or `POST`).
